Series: The Winesend
Form: Serial
Genre: YA military fantasy + Adventure
World: Elsuon
Author: David Jetre

Rhaina is sixteen, a squire, and a winesend for the Sabler Order. Her official duty is delivering unremarkable ale to officers in the field. Her real duty is carrying the war’s secrets in plain sight.

What starts as routine courier work becomes a life of road dangers, hidden messages, lonely inns with their own mysteries, sudden violence, quiet competence, and the gradual uncovering of a sword that refuses to be ordinary. She will pick up a small glowing companion, lose one horse and gain another, and keep crossing paths with two of the most unreliable reliable men in the army.

This is a serialized YA fantasy adventure: low magic, strong sense of place, practical skills, military structure, and a heroine who survives by noticing what others miss.

Expect regular chapters, road stories, inn layovers, espionage, and the slow growth of a young woman learning what she is capable of.
