SWORDS AND ANVILS
David Jetre writes, draws, builds, and makes things—on the page, on the stage, and occasionally with actual timber. Film, illustration, graphic design, production design, martial arts, and carpentry are less a collection of separate pursuits than different rooms in the same house: how a thing looks, how it holds together, and how a body moves through it.
David published Elsuon: The Stonecutter’s Son, the first of ten novels set in the world of Elsuon. Savage Errands followed as a series of shorter, self-contained adventures, including Moonstorm: The Rise of Rovasurinn and The Sixth Kuinkazner. The Young Adult serial fantasy The Winesend is the road currently being traveled.
Other writers occasionally walk the roads of Elsuon with his maps. Their stories, however, are their own. David would rather let the work introduce him than spend much time introducing himself. The site is the catalog. The books and chapters are the conversation.
